|Mok-i & Won-I Robot|
Mobile humanoid robots are nothing new at this point in the history of robotics, but as more advances are made with these kinds of robots we find that they're given ever more specialized tasks. In the case of the latest batch of robots from Korea, one of those tasks is assisting the visually impaired. The Mok-i & Won-I were recently displayed at a robot festival in Korea by Mokwon University. Among the utilities shown off by Mokwon's robots were humanoid bots equipped with stereoscopic vision and 3D vision systems, as well as robots that might be used in the future in place of a seeing eye dog for the visually impaired.
